We seek emerging technologies or ideas and position them to take advantage of emerging government opportunities. The technologies, with the help of government opportunities, deliver significant change to our government clients with the focus on transition into the commercial market. Our name itself echoes these concepts.

AxHill is a conjunction of a neurological and anatomical term. Cells in our nervous system that propagate information (in the form of action potentials) contain a specific structure known as the axon hillock. This structure is the physiological determinant of information flow. As signals arrive from the upstream neuron, they deliver either excitatory or inhibitory information to the cell body. This information is summed at the axon hillock. If this information reaches a specific threshold, an action potential is fired and information flow continues to the down stream neuron. If not, no signal is sent and the information dies. In a sense, the axon hillock is the “tipping point” for the neuron.
